Sherri Miller, BSN, RN, MBA - CEO and Founder
Friends and family members have always called on Sherri for healthcare support, joking it was great to have their own Registered Nurse to call on for guidance. One friend, who Sherri had helped during a medical crisis, asked Sherri what other people do who do not have a friend or family member who is a nurse to help them through a medical crisis or with ongoing healthcare needs and urged Sherri to start providing this service to others. After careful consideration and research, Sherri opened Proactive Health Advocates in 2018.
Sherri earned a BSN from the University of Virginia School of Nursing and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Her healthcare experience includes not only hospital bedside nursing at top teaching hospitals but also leadership positions in hospital administration, health insurance product development, physician practice management, home health, Value Based Care/Population Health initiatives, care and disease management companies, and healthcare consulting.
